After more than 15 years in protected crops, I have seen the same pattern too often.

A system looks impressive in a demo. The promise is clear: less labour, better crop protection, cleaner production, and more control. Then it enters the real greenhouse.

The row geometry does not fit. The crop is denser than expected. The UV-C dose is not right for the pathogen pressure. The platform needs more supervision than planned. The people who will operate it every day were not part of the buying decision.

That is where technology starts becoming a cost instead of a solution.

We look first at the crop, the pathogen pressure, the greenhouse layout, the required dosage, the infrastructure, and the team that needs to run the system. Then we say what fits, under what conditions, and sometimes that nothing fits yet.

After installation, we stay close to what really matters: canopy-level results, biology, labour hours, uptime, and daily routines.

Less talk about intelligent automation. More clarity on what works, in which crop, and under which conditions.
